V RAVICHANDRAN IN VARIETY OF MOOD

The crash of ‘Apoorva’ has not perturbed the dream merchant of Kannada cinema V Ravichandran. After a few weeks of keeping silence V Ravichandran spoke for the first time on ‘Apoorva’ aftermath at JW Mariot in Bengaluru.

We give you the complete conversation held. There was mixed mood in V Ravichandran.

·        It is because ‘Apoorva’ not done well, I did not come before the media.

·        If you rewind the “Apoorva” meet I have clearly mentioned. There will be English quotes, B and C center may not understand, it is not like ‘Ekangi’ – 19 versions have been made. I have tried something different. People should put their hands on my shoulder and look at the film. First three reels they have to cope up. I told there is no comedy and only at two places there will be laughter.

·        I defined that the grammar of the film, there will no glamour I said and flavor is different. I had in fact three commercial songs. Another version of the film. I just kept everything aside.

·        I have not fumbled in making this film. My intention and Idea was correct. I expected respect for effort.

·        What I would say is that in your home your mother prepares food. Is it correct all the time? Sometime it may go different. This is like that. My effort was kicked out.

·        When the Uppu and Khara are different you would not throw. It is thrown on my face. I know how to wipe it and get better films.

·        This Apoorva was not like Darshan or Sudeep film.

·        I have grown in the industry. When I did Manikya, Drishya and took part as Judge some sort of transformation happened in me. With such change in my I tried to be more responsible in giving a heart touching film.

·        When my own people have not liked the film, I am not releasing it in other countries. For me our people are international in standard.

·        When Prema Loka was made the film picked only after 100 days. Had it been removed a few weeks earlier, it would not entered history.

·        My Love and Pain should have been understood. It did not happen. It is not difficult to make Malla type of film. Films like Shanthi Kranthi and Kindara Jogi also I still love. I do respect and admire what I do from the beginning.

·        My concept was totally different. The media and public did not understand it. I think only understand ‘Apoorva’ when he is at the threshold of such a deadly situation.

·        A few days people have started understanding the film is a sort of relief for me.

·        I have no regret for making Apoorva. I will continue to make good quality films.

·        What I have spent and gained from Apoorva is not botheration for anyone. I never worry for it. When I sink in loans I know how to clear it.

·        What is the next move? You would know only at the release date. My daughter Geethanjali wants me to see in success mood. My son Manu said let us do Ranadheera later.
